Professional Experience

Julie A. Williamson has practiced law since 1991.  She concentrates her practice in estate planning for families with children with disabilities and the elderly and their families.  Her practice includes tax planning, preparing estate plans including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directives (Living Wills), Trusts including Special Needs Trusts, guardianships, conservatorships and other protective arrangements.

With three close family members with special needs ranging from 25 to 80 years in age, Julie has spent her entire life learning and advocating solutions for their current and future well-being.  She brings these experiences and her passion to all her clients.  Julie’s approach is to be a part of your family’s team bringing clarity to the maze of governmental programs and benefits available to your loved one and assisting you today and in the future.

Prior to joining Reisman Carolla Gran & Zuba LLP, Julie was managing member of an estate planning and elder law firm in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.  She also handled complex commercial and fiduciary litigation for publicly and privately held companies and complex land use matters for a mid-sized firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and a large Philadelphia law firm.

Community Associations

Julie serves on the Board of Directors of the Jacobs Chapel Colemantown Foundation, Inc. in Mount Laurel, NJ, an organization dedicated to the preservation of the Jacobs Chapel and Colemantown Meeting House, both of which were stops on the Underground Railroad, and are registered on the State and Federal Registry of Historic Places.  Julie worked with other parents of young adults with special needs to bring the JEVS Independence Network to Collingswood, New Jersey.  JEVS Independence Network provides young adults with disabilities a supported independent living program to help them achieve their life’s goals.  Julie previously served as a Girl Scout leader and on the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey leadership award review committee, mentoring young women in Girl Scouts.  She currently serves as the President of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity.

Admitted to Practice

Julie is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  A member of the Burlington County, Camden County, New Jersey State Bar Associations and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Julie is a member of the Burlington County Bar Association Probate Committee.  Julie was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on its District Ethics Committee where she served for four years.  She currently serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Judiciary Working Group on Elder Justice.

Education

Julie is a graduate of the Rutgers School of Law-Camden and has received her Estate Planning Certification from the Beasley School of Law Graduate Tax Program at Temple University.  She received her BA in Business/Marketing from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
